Andrea Brillantes’ talent agency Becky Aguila Artist Management dismissed rumors that a salon dropped the actress from its celebrity list. The agency stated that Brillantes is not an endorser or client of the salon to begin with.

The talent agency released an official statement regarding the issue, via its Facebook page yesterday, May 15.

“Hindi totoong tinanggal si Andrea Brillantes sa anumang listahan ng celebrities ng Sir George by Mary Pauline Salon dahil unang-una, hindi ito endorser at hindi rin siya kliyente sa loob ng mahigit limang taon ng naturang salon,” it said. “Walang anumang kontrata sa pagitan nila at ng artista namin, at walang anumang obligasyon si Andrea sa kanila.”

(It is not true that Andrea Brillantes was removed from the list of celebrities of sir George by Mary Pauline Salon because first and foremost, she is not their endorser and she is not a client of the salon for over five years. There is no contract between the salon and our artist, and Andrea has no obligation to them.)

It then reminded the public to be cautious and discerning with information read online, while thanking fans and brands for their continuous support to Brillantes.

“Muling pinaalalahanan ang publiko na maging mapanuri at huwag basta-basta nagpapaniwala sa nababasa nila online lalo na kung malisyoso ang intensyon o may pansariling interes na isinusulong ang mga taong nagpo-post tungkol dito,” it added.

(We remind the public again to be cautious and to not believe everything they read online, most especially when it has malicious intentions or the one who posted it does it for selfish interest.)

While there were no names mentioned in the statement, it can be noted that columnist Lolit Solis earlier said that Brillantes was removed by a certain salon from its list of celebrities eligible for free services, as per Solis’ Instagram page last Friday, May 13. Solis added that the salon’s decision came after Brillantes supposedly called supporters of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. stupid.

Becky Aguila Artist Management also earlier released a statement informing fans of the fake tweets allegedly posted by Brillantes, as per its Facebook page, also last Friday. It included the screenshots of the fake tweets circulating online, with some of it talking about the youth voting for thieves, and addressing a supposedly pornographic video.

Meanwhile, Brillantes recently cheered for and congratulated her basketball player boyfriend Ricci Rivero after his team, the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, won its long-awaited championship at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball finals.
