KC Concepcion is now able to walk around after getting a “bad case” of COVID-19, as she gives more details about her recovery from the disease.

The actress announced this via her Instagram Stories today, May 10. Concepcion is currently in New York to film the international movie “Asian Persuasion.”

“Something good happened today. I’m recovering from [COVID-19]!” she said.

Concepcion, who revealed testing positive for the coronavirus last Friday, said her left hand and leg still feel weak after COVID-19 affected her brain and motor skills.

“Today is the first day I actually feel better, and I still have a little cough, but apart from that… kaya ko na maglakad [nang] konti sa labas (I can now walk a bit outside),” she told fans. “Hay 10 days na Lord, sana ok na talaga ako (It has been 10 days Lord, I hope I am really okay).”

Concepcion also urged the public to be safe amid the pandemic, noting that she drinks medicine and still wears a mask.

Concepcion revealed last Friday that she suffered from a neurological effect of COVID-19, which almost led to “possible paralysis.” She also stressed that her experience with the disease was “nothing she had ever experienced before.”

The actress earlier expressed her appreciation for her mother, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who she considers all she needs to recover from COVID-19.  /ra
