LOOK: Kim Chiu reunites with siblings after 9 years

Kim Chiu was ecstatic after finally reuniting with all of her four siblings after nearly a decade.
The actress and “It’s Showtime” host showed moments with her brothers and sisters via her Instagram page last Sunday, May 1. Her father, William, was also with them.
The reunion appeared to have happened in time for Chiu’s 32nd birthday last month. According to her, she and her siblings had not been all together since her mother died in 2013.
“Never felt this complete. The last time I remembered na kumpleto kami was when my mama died, ngayon lang kami nabuo kasama si papa in one photo,” she said. (The last time I remembered that we were complete was when my mama died, now is the only time that we have been together with papa in one photo.)
Chiu looked back at her younger years with her siblings and how their life back then shaped the people they became now.
“It helped us become who we are now, from walang matirhan, walang pang-tuition, walang pagkain, nag-aagawan pa sa ulam, sa damit, sa school things and a lot more! Looking back, nag-aasaran kami now na naluluha na natatawa. It feels amazing!” she told fans.

“Life is indeed full of surprises! Life is crazy beautiful! I am thankful for the gift of family that I have,” she added. “I have my best friends, [siblings] and people who will love me and support me no matter what.”

Chiu’s parents separated when she was very young, and she grew up with her paternal grandparents when her mother Louella left their home. She went searching for her mother for years, only to find her under a coma in Cebu in 2013.
The actress eventually joined the first teen edition of “Pinoy Big Brother” and started her showbiz career after emerging as the show’s Big Winner in 2006. /ra
