Celeste Cortesi marked her first activity as Miss Universe Philippines 2022 by visiting Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao with Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow.
Tebow CURE Hospital is a non-profit specialty orthopedic hospital for children with disabilities founded by Demi-Leigh’s husband, American football player Tim Tebow, in partnership with CURE, a Christian nonprofit organization helping “children living with treatable disabilities.”
Cortesi and Tebow interacted with the kids and the medical staff of the hospital, as seen on Miss Universe Philippines organization’s Facebook page yesterday, May 2.
“Starting her reign in a very meaningful way. Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi joined Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow to visit the Tebow CURE Hospital, Davao City. They were able to observe two surgeries, visit with some patients and celebrate the 7th Anniversary of the Tebow CURE Hospital,” it said.
Demi-Leigh also gave a glimpse of their visit as well as expressed her gratitude to Cortesi, via Demi-Leigh’s Instagram page today, May 3.
“Happy 7th Anniversary [Tebow CURE Hospital]. So incredibly thankful to be a part of this milestone celebration and to have had my honored guest, the newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 [Celeste Cortesi] join us,” Demi-Leigh stated. “I’m so grateful that I got to spend time with the sweet children and amazing staff in Davao City.”
Cortesi won the crown in the pageant held last Saturday, April 30, at the Mall of Asia Arena. Other winners are Michelle Dee who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines-Tourism, Pauline Amelinckx who was named Miss Universe Philippines-Charity, Annabelle McDonnell who placed first runner-up, and Llegado who was second runner-up. /ra
