Dimaranan also stated that she would not be able to come home to the Philippines to pass on her title during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. This is due to residency issues in the United States and her focus on her nursing career.

“I do want to take this opportunity to look back at my pageant journey. From [18 years] old to now 28, my 10-year magical journey that was and is a vital part of my life,” she said.

Dimaranan noted that she met the “most amazing people” through pageants, which also taught her life lessons and to keep an open mind. She likewise recalled her memories about her pageant journey, including her victories and losses.

“This journey helped me accept that my past, my hardships actually inspired someone to aim for greatness and follow their dreams,” she stressed.

“My 10 year journey has now come to an end and I am eternally grateful for all of the memories I’ve shared with all of you, especially those who were with me since day one of this incredible journey. I am happy and at peace that I can finally close this chapter and move forward to my next goals!” she added.

Dimaranan then urged fans to reach for their dreams and pursue the “best version of yourselves.”

Miss Universe Philippines 2021 first runner-up Maureen Wroblewitz, Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold and Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2021 Victoria Vincent were among those who expressed support for Dimaranan’s decision.

Meanwhile, current Miss Universe Philippines queen Beatrice Luigi Gomez will be passing on her crown at the coronation ceremony this coming Saturday, April 30, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
