Herlene Budol, also known as Hipon Girl, looked radiant in her headshot and swimsuit photos as she applied to this year’s Binibining Pilipinas.

For her swimsuit photos, the former “Wowowin” host wore a red two-piece bikini by Zyrill Jane Jacinto with heels and hoop earrings, as seen in a series of posts on her Instagram page yesterday, April 21. This comes ahead of Binibining Pilipinas’ final screening today, April, 22.

“Eto sinubmit ko sa swimsuit [picture] ko para sa Binibining Pilipinas, by Zyrill Jane collection official,” she said. (This is the swimsuit picture I submitted to Binibining Pilipinas, by Zyrill Jane [official collection].)

Budol recalled that content creator Madam Inutz joked that she looked like singer Pops Fernandez and beauty queen MJ Lastimosa in the photo. She then added that whether she becomes an official candidate or not, she will still be grateful to have applied for Binibining Pilipinas.

“Matanggap man or hindi ako matanggap bukas sa Binibining Pilipinas, at least nag-try lang si Hipon,” she told fans. “Sana ma-inspire ko kayo mga Hiponatics na never give up on [your] dream. Because great things take time! Work hard [and] be optimistic.”

(Whether I get accepted or not tomorrow in Binibining Pilipinas, at least Hipon tried. I hope I inspired you Hiponatics to never give up on your dream.)

Budol also released the headshot photo that she gave Binibining Pilipinas for her application. In the headshot, she donned a cream asymmetrical top paired with hoop earrings as well, as shown also on her Instagram page yesterday.

Budol confirmed earlier this month that she had applied for Binibining Pilipinas by showing herself filling out her application form. She also stated that, if accepted, she will be using Filipino in the question-and-answer portion of the pageant.  /ra
