Dimples Romana could not help but feel sentimental as her eldest child, Callie, finally left the Philippines to pursue her aviation dream.
The actress showed herself in a car on her way to a shoot while her daughter posed next to her outside the vehicle, as seen on her Instagram page last Monday, March 28. Callie flew to Gold Coast, Australia, for her college studies in aviation.
“Today, we officially take the training wheels off. Today anak (my child), I give you love that sets you free, a kind of love that lets you be. Today, you get to be on your own ate (older sister),” she said. “I am beyond thrilled to watch you show everyone just what makes a Romana-Ahmee woman special.”
Romana also showed Callie loading her luggage in a car and walking in an airport, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, March 30.
“Live life for me, will ya? @callieahmee Salute to the bravest, most driven woman I know. And the coolest part of all this is we get to say we raised this one,” she said. “I love you @callieahmee. Mom and Dad will always be proud of you. I can’t wait to hear about all your adventures and misadventures”
Last Sunday, March 27, Romana became emotional over Callie’s last day before leaving for college by showing throwback moments with her daughter. The actress considers Callie’s flight to college a “bittersweet learning” for her as a parent, but she finds the experience worthy of celebration.
Meanwhile, Romana announced last March 18 that she is pregnant with her third child. She then revealed last Sunday that she is expecting a baby boy. /ra
