Rufa Mae Quinto is finally back in the Philippines after staying in the United States for two years amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actress-comedian showed moments from her stay in a resort in Batangas as she marked her return to the country, via her Instagram page last Thursday, March 17.
“Welcome back to front to side. Welcome back to me in the Philippines. Sun in front of me, beach by my side. Perfect,” she said.
Quinto then showed herself in scuba diving gear, as well as on a hammock overlooking the sea. She also gave glimpses of her daughter Athena.
“Nadama ko din muli ang init ng weather ng Pilipinas. Damahan na!” she told fans. “Swimming [naman] d’yan [guys]! Favorite kong gawin.”
(I finally felt the heat of the Philippine weather again. Let’s feel it! Let’s go swimming guys. My favorite thing to do.)
Quinto and her husband Trevor Magallanes tied the knot in November 2016 and welcomed their daughter Athena in February 2017. The couple had been in a long-distance relationship, since Magallanes was based in the US.
After years of being apart, Quinto and her daughter spent much of 2020 abroad as they were among those who experienced pandemic lockdowns in California. They celebrated Athena’s third birthday in the US back in February 2020.
The family had since had a home in the US, which Quinto showed to the public in November 2020. /ra
