Tracy Maureen Perez has been commended by the Philippines’ first, and so far only, Miss World titleholder Megan Young, despite not bringing home the crown for the country during the 70th Miss World pageant today, March 17.
The Miss World 2013 winner praised Perez for successfully representing the Philippines, via Young’s Twitter page today. Perez concluded her Miss World 2021 journey after making it to the top 13 but failing to enter the top 6 in the pageant.
“Love you so much [Tracy Maureen Perez], we are so proud of you,” Young said.
Young then expressed how “incredibly proud” she is of Perez by showing the Cebuana beauty queen in a blue gown, as seen on her Instagram Stories.

Perez was also lauded by Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2021 Emmanuelle Vera, as seen in comments on Perez’s Instagram post today.
“We love you and are so proud,” Arnold told Perez.
“[Amazing] job, love you stunning [queen]! Congratulations!” Vera meanwhile said.
Perez competed with 96 other delegates for the Miss World crown but only 40 were asked to attend the finals night held in Puerto Rico. Aside from her top 13 finish, Perez was also one of the winners in Miss World’s Beauty with a Purpose and Head-to-Head challenges.
Miss Poland Karolina Bielawska was crowned as Miss World 2021 while Miss U.S.A. Shree Saini and Miss Cote d’Ivoire Olivia Yace were named first and second runners-up, respectively. JB
