Tracy Maureen Perez travels back to Puerto Rico for Miss World pageant
Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez is headed back to Puerto Rico to resume her journey in the 70th Miss World pageant.
The beauty queen announced her departure by showing herself holding the Philippine flag and walking out of what appears to be a hotel lobby, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, March 11. For her trip, she donned a white crop blaze and skirt with pearl embellishments by Marc Soliven Ngan.
“Here we go, Philippines! For the second time around, I’m leaving for Puerto Rico, carrying with me our country’s hopes and dreams,” she said. “Please continue to pray with me. I know that all our hard work will soon pay off and our hearts will shine through!”

The 70th Miss World pageant was supposed to be held in December last year in Puerto Rico, but was postponed due to health and safety reasons. Seventeen individuals involved in the beauty pageant reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 a day before the finals night.
The pageant date was then moved to this Wednesday, March 16 (March 17 in the Philippines), at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot.
Perez initially flew to Puerto Rico in November last year, but returned to the Philippines last February after the pageant was postponed. She is hoping to win the second Miss World crown for the Philippines, following Miss World 2013 Megan Young. /ra
