Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo isolated themselves in their condominium unit after members of their family tested positive for COVID-19.

Everyone in their house tested positive for the virus except for the two of them and Jazz, Mercado’s son with her ex-boyfriend actor Patrick Garcia. The couple talked about this in a vlog on their YouTube channel last Saturday, Jan. 29.

(It’s our second week here in our condominium unit because everyone in our house tested positive for COVID-19. After New Year, Jan. 4 or Jan. 5, they were exposed to a person, then everyone else followed one after the other, until everyone in the house tested positive except me, Dennis and Jazz.)

Though Jazz also tested negative, Mercado explained that they still opted to isolate away from him because he was exposed to their family helper who was COVID-positive.

The couple then expressed their gratitude for being safe against the virus while talking about how highly contagious the Omicron variant is to help raise awareness. They also gave health tips based on how they take care of themselves, which include sanitizing deliveries, taking vitamins and supplements, exercising and eating healthy food.

(Maybe we still haven’t caught the virus yet because of that extra-awareness. At this time, maybe it’s okay to be paranoid about our health to prevent us all from getting sick.)

Mercado and Trillo tied the knot in a civil ceremony last November, after being in a relationship for seven years. They confirmed last October that they are expecting their first child together, a baby girl. JB
