Ice Seguerra is grieving over the death of his beloved dog Porky, his pet for 13 years, who passed away yesterday, Jan. 26.

The actor-singer expressed his sadness over Porky’s death through a tribute on his Instagram page yesterday. He can be seen in an intimate memorial for the pet pug.

“Hindi ko masabing ‘run free, Porky’ kasi hindi ka naman mahilig tumakbo. Mahilig kang matulog, kumain, tumambay,” he said. “…You are the epitome of unconditional love.”

(I can’t say “run free, Porky” because you don’t like running. You like to sleep, eat and sit around…You are the epitome of unconditional love.)

Seguerra then thanked his pet for being his confidante, best friend and constant companion.

“Your presence gave me so much peace [and] so much love. Thank you for being you, for being my one and only Porky,” he addressed Porky. “Pahinga ka na, baby ko (Rest now, my baby). No goodbyes. I love you so much.”

Seguerra recalled his last moments with his beloved pet and described the time he had with Porky as the “best years of my life,” as per his Instagram page, also yesterday.

“Salamat sa huling ngiting walang kasing tamis. Salamat sa pagmamahal mong walang kaparis,” he told Porky. (Thank you for the last smile that was so sweet. Thank you for the incomparable love.)

Seguerra admitted that he finds it hard to live without Porky’s love, kisses and presence as the dog served as his “daughter.”

“You were not just a pet, you were my daughter. Thank you for loving me selflessly. I love you forever, my baby girl, my Baboy (pig), my one and only Porky,” he said. “The 13 years I’ve spent with you were the best years of my life.”

Prior to Seguerra revealing his pet’s death, his wife Liza Diño asked for the public’s prayers on her Instagram page last Saturday, Jan. 22. According to her, Porky suffered from an enlarged heart and lung problems.

Seguerra received condolences from fellow celebrities Sharon Cuneta, Nikki Valdez and Chynna Ortaleza, among others.  /ra
