The date is set. Fans of “New Girl” will be able to rediscover their favorite show like never before starting Jan. 24. Zooey Deschanel, who played Jess in the series, will share the microphone of a podcast called “Welcome to Our Show” with Hannah Simone and Lamorne Morris, who played Cece and Winston, respectively.
The podcast will be an opportunity for the three actors to look back on the show that marked American television. During each episode, the trio will play the cult drinking game seen in the comedy, “True American,” and will host actors, producers and many other guests, related to “New Girl.”
As the show celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2021, it experienced somewhat of a renaissance during the pandemic. It has even become popular among the younger generation. In fact, many challenges on social media make reference to the “New Girl” show and characters.
The three actors expressed their excitement about working together again and sharing the secrets of the series with fans.
“New Girl” is not the first TV show to reveal its secrets in the form of a podcast. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey did the same, rehashing every episode of “The Office” in the “Office Ladies” podcast. JB
