“Aga and I tested positive for COVID-19 while in the USA. Thank God we are all fully vaccinated,” she said. “Andres (Gonzalez’s son) was with us during the holidays. He is fully vaccinated [and] he isolated right away. Andres tested negative in his PCR test, has no symptoms, was cleared by the doctor and was able to make it back to school safely in Spain.”

Gonzalez started experiencing symptoms such as nausea and fatigue around Dec. 30, 2021. She initially took over-the-counter medicine to help her feel better and started isolating right away.

“I was testing negative during this time but isolated right away the moment I felt symptoms. On [Jan. 4 to 5], I felt sick again [and] this is when Aga started to get symptoms,” she narrated. “We tested again [and] this time, our tests came out positive.”

Muhlach, for his part, thanked the team of Filipino medical professionals who were looking after him and Gonzalez. He greeted them via his Instagram page, also yesterday.

“Nothing but gratitude for these group of Filipino medical professionals for taking care of me and my wife fight [COVID-19],” he said.

Fellow celebrities John Prats, Ruffa Gutierrez and Ogie Alcasid were among those who wished for the full recovery of Muhlach and Gonzalez.

The couple is in the US after going on a vacation with their son Andres. Their daughter Atasha, meanwhile, flew to the United Kingdom in September 2021 to continue her studies there.

Andres and Atasha are Muhlach and Gonzales’ only children. The two had a virtual high school graduation in May 2020, just like many students amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  /ra
