Pokwang remains optimistic as she continues to recover from COVID-19, and wrote an open letter to the disease while in isolation.
The comedian addressed COVID-19 while showing herself spending some time in the sun on her Instagram page today, Jan. 12.
“Dear [COVID-19], eto ako nagpapaaraw para lumakas muli at makabawi. Ika-[anim na araw] ko na ng isolation. Buti na lang bakunado ako kaya kinaya kita [nang] bongga!” she said.
(Dear COVID-19, I’m here in the sun to get stronger again and recover. It’s my sixth day of isolation. It’s a good thing I was vaccinated so I handled you well.)
Pokwang then encouraged those who also tested positive for COVID-19 to not lose hope and to trust God amid challenges.
“Sa mga tinamaan ni pareng [COVID-19], ‘wag panghinaan ng loob lalo na kapag may pamilya tayong umaasa sa ‘tin. Laban lang mga mahal ko. Dasal at tiwala lang kay God, [okay]?” she urged them.
(To those who got Mr. COVID-19, don’t be discouraged especially when we have families who are depending on us. Fight on, my loves. Pray and trust God, okay?)
She also advised the public to drink water, take more vitamins if possible and isolate if they feel any symptoms.
“Mag-isolate agad-agad. Ok, kapit lang,” she added. (Isolate immediately. Ok, just hold on.)
Pokwang revealed she was positive for the coronavirus by showing a COVID-19 antigen test on her Instagram Story, also today. Despite this, she continues to fight on.
“Konti na lang, woohoo! Laban!” she said.
Fellow celebrities have also opened up about their battles with COVID-19, including Miriam Quiambao, Iya Villania, Ina Raymundo and Candy Pangilinan, among others. /ra
