Angeline Quinto has responded to questions surrounding the identity of the father of her child, as she expressed her wish to keep their relationship private.
Quinto addressed fans who are curious about his non-showbiz partner, as seen on her YouTube vlog yesterday, Dec. 26.
“Ang daming nagsasabi na bakit daw hindi pa ipakilala, bakit daw kailangang itago, baka raw ikinakahiya ko — hindi ko ho gagawin ‘yon,” she said. “Wala akong ikinahiyang tao, kahit sino, tandaan niyo ‘yan, at bakit ko gagawin sa tatay ng magiging anak ko?”
(Many are asking why I still haven’t introduced him yet, why I need to keep him hidden from the public, that maybe I’m ashamed — I won’t do that. I am not ashamed of anyone, remember that, and why would I do that to the father of my child?)
The singer then revealed her partner’s decision to be kept away from the public, because they both want to go through the pregnancy journey in private.
“‘Yung tatay naman din talaga ng magiging baby ko, siya din talaga mismo, kumbaga ayaw niya po talaga ng showbiz. Mas gusto lang talaga namin sana na mai-treasure itong moment na ito nang sa amin lang,” she shared.
(Even the father of my baby, he himself does not like [being exposed to] showbiz. We just really prefer to treasure this moment in private.)
Meanwhile, Quinto also spoke about her pregnancy journey, disclosing that she experienced spotting during her first trimester. She was then advised by her doctor to take a break from social media, but she is finding the balance between work and her health.
“Sa totoo lang, medyo naging maselan po talaga yung pagbubuntis ko simula first month hanggang mga third month dahil doon ako natakot, kasi medyo dinudugo ako, nagkaroon ng spotting ilang araw,” she said.
(Honestly, I had a delicate pregnancy during the first three months because I was scared. I experienced bleeding and I had spotting for days.)
“More than iniingatan ko yung sarili ko ngayon, mas iniisip ko po ‘yung baby sa lahat ng mga gagawin ko lalo na sa work ko,” the singer added.
(More than taking care of myself, I think more about my baby’s welfare in everything I do, especially when it comes to work.)
Quinto announced her pregnancy to the public in an interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda last Dec. 10. Her revelation came in time with her 10th anniversary in showbiz, which she marked with a digital concert series “10Q.” JB
