Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez is now in Israel to represent the country in the upcoming 70th Miss Universe pageant.

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization showed the beauty queen at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel yesterday, Nov. 28. Gomez wore a tight-fitting white long-sleeved top, denim pants and knee-high boots while holding her luggage at the airport.

“Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez arrives at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel. She’s ready to conquer the Universe,” the organization stated.

Gomez meanwhile showed herself bonding with some fellow Miss Universe contestants Juli García (Argentina), Marady Ngin (Cambodia), Rose Meléndez (Honduras), Nandita Banna (Singapore) and Sujita Basnet (Nepal).

The beauty pageant contestants also danced to the pop song “Despacito” on their way to Jerusalem, as seen on Gomez’s Instagram Stories yesterday.

Gomez then gave fans a glimpse of her hotel room on her Instagram Story today, Nov. 29. She asked for the public’s prayers given the new and potentially more contagious Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

“We’re still waiting for some of the girls. I hope they get to fly out here,” she said. “I know you guys have heard the news. Pray for our safety, guys.”

Gomez added that she and her fellow beauty queens are really hoping the pageant would push through.

“We really want this competition to push through. We’ve all worked hard to get here and I’m just excited to see some of the girls,” she told fans.

Israel’s tourism minister Yoel Razvozov announced yesterday that the country will still host the 70th Miss Universe beauty pageant on Dec. 12. This is despite the government imposing travel restrictions in response to the emergence of the Omicron variant.

Razvozov assured that participants in the pageant will be granted waivers and will possibly be subject to PCR testing every 48 hours, among other precautionary measures. JB
