Karen Davila’s son survives second full-blown seizure, now well
Karen Davila is beyond grateful after her son David survived a full-blown seizure at home and is now doing well.
The broadcaster recounted the events leading to her son’s seizure attack in a video on her Facebook page yesterday, Oct. 25. David, who was diagnosed with autism, was exercising when the incident happened.
“Kaninang umaga nung tumatakbo siya sa treadmill, bigla ko na lang nakita na nagkakaroon siya ng epileptic seizure,” Davila narrated. “Pahulog na ‘yung anak ko [pero] nasalo ko siya.”
(Earlier this morning when he was running on the treadmill, I suddenly saw him having an epileptic seizure. My son was about to fall but I caught him.)
According to her, David bit his tongue when he was having the seizure though he did not cause serious injury to himself. She also recalled praying for her son’s safety while she and her husband, DJ, were waiting for the seizure to subside.

Davila thanked their family helpers, her other son Lucas and her husband for praying for David during the incident.
“I want to encourage you all today never to lose faith. During your darkest times, when you have no control over something, all you need to do is call on the name of Jesus,” the broadcaster said.
This is the second seizure that David experienced. He first suffered from the same condition back in September 2020 at a condo lobby. /ra
