Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo and Daniel Padilla led the roster of winners at the 12th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Music held yesterday, Oct. 10.
Velasquez, Asia’s Songbird, was named the Female Recording Artist of the Year as well as Female Concert Performer of the Year. Meanwhile, Padilla was hailed Male Recording Artist of the Year, as seen on PMPC’s Facebook page, also yesterday.
Geronimo was hailed Female Pop Artist of the Year for “Ang Tangi Kong Pangarap” and GMA artist Garrett Bolden was given the Male Pop Artist of the Year award for the song “Handa Na Maghintay.”
The awards show featured production numbers from Kuh Ledesma and Gary Valenciano, among others. The event was hosted by Alfred Vargas and Sanya Lopez.
