Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach appears to be venturing further into a business path, as she is currently taking non-formal entrepreneurship classes at the University of the Philippines Open University.
The beauty queen made this revelation during an interview with celebrity photographer BJ Pascual in his YouTube vlog last Sunday, Aug. 8.
“Now, as we speak, nag-aaral ako ng entrepreneurship sa online. Nag-aaral ako sa Open University sa UP, pero non-formal course,” Wurtzbach told Pascual. (I am studying entrepreneurship online. I am studying at the Open University in UP, but it’s just a non-formal course.)
Although she is getting “practice” on entrepreneurship from her brand collaborations, milk tea shop and managing her own career, Wurtzbach pointed out that she still has a long way to go when it comes to learning about business.
“I know that I really have to gain more knowledge if I want to make my own brand or my own product one day,” she said, noting that putting up her own brand was one of her goals.
The beauty queen also acknowledged that she will grow old someday and her priorities may change in the future, so she is considering having a business as a fallback.
“One day mag-iiba na focus ko, pamilya na (One day, my focus will change to family). I need to create something that will last, that won’t require me being in front of the camera all the time,” she added.
For now, Wurtzbach is still unsure as to what specific business she may set up, but she is already cooking up some plans for the future. /ra
