P-pop boy group SB19 is beyond grateful to its fans after it was named Artist of the Year, and earned two more prizes in the Myx Music Awards yesterday, Aug. 7.
“We have won [three] awards for tonight’s #MYXAwards2021, A’TIN!” the group addressed its fans through a Twitter post on the same day.
They won the Artist of the Year award, besting girl group MNL48, singer Moira Dela Torre, folk pop band Ben&Ben and actress Nadine Lustre. The group also earned the Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year awards for the 2020 hit “Alab.”
“Buong puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa recognition na ito (We are wholeheartedly grateful for this recognition) and to everyone who made this possible, maraming salamat po (thank you very much),” SB19 added.

SB19 described winning the awards as a “big deal,” as shown in a video of them receiving their trophy through Myx Global’s Twitter page also yesterday.
“Ito ‘yung isa sa mga pinapangarap naming awards na matanggap before (This is one of the awards that we dreamt of earning before),” Josh said. The group also thanked those who supported them, from casual listeners and fans to fellow artists.

Myx Music Awards 2021 also gave two awards to Ben&Ben for winning Mellow Video of the Year for “Sa Susunod Na Habang Buhay,” and Collaboration of the Year for “Paalam” with Dela Torre.
The event featured performances from various artists including Nameless Kids, Leanne & Naara, Iñigo Pascual and Ebe Dancel. JB
