Derek Ramsay’s parents got COVID-19, now recovered: ‘Scariest thing I’ve experienced’
Derek Ramsay expressed relief after his parents have finally been discharged from the hospital following their battle with COVID-19.
“Having my mum and dad in [the] hospital fighting [COVID-19] at the same time is the scariest thing I’ve experienced in my life,” the actor admitted on his Instagram page on Friday, July 16. “Thank you, Lord, for keeping them strong and safe.”
Ramsay’s revelation was accompanied by a screenshot of a text message from his father, stating that he could be discharged from the hospital.
“Mum and dad [are] coming home! Yippee,” he added. Ramsay did not provide further details about his parents’ diagnosis but he revealed that they were treated at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
