British rock band Coldplay has made its fans ecstatic after announcing it will perform on the ABS-CBN variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” on Sunday, July 11.
“Hello, Kapamilya! The band will be performing ‘Higher Power’ for ASAP Natin ‘To LIVE this Sunday, July 11,” Coldplay announced through its Facebook page yesterday, July 7. It then showed a poster featuring its four members and details about the band’s TV appearance.
“Please watch out for it, it’s a special one,” Coldplay added.
“Higher Power” is the band’s latest single and the lead track in its upcoming ninth studio album.

The band’s frontman, Chris Martin, and lead guitarist, Johnny Buckland, also encouraged fans to watch the “ASAP Natin ‘To” episode through a video on the variety show’s Twitter page on Sunday, July 4.
“Saying hello to everyone listening in the Philippines. Please catch our latest single ‘Higher Power,'” they said. “Thank you, ‘ASAP Natin ‘To Kapamilya.”

The band’s announcement has garnered over 55,000 reactions and its video greeting over 2,000 likes as of this writing.
Coldplay—composed of Martin, Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion—is also known for its hit tracks “Fix You,” “The Scientist” and “Viva la Vida,” among others. /ra
