‘Rewarding’ feat for Kit
Kit Thompson, who won his first international award for Josabeth Alonso’s “Belle Douleur” at the 54th Woldfest-Houston International Film Festival in April, shares his thoughts on what it’s like to be recognized as an actor.
“To be honest, I didn’t expect the award,” the 24-year-old actor told reporters during the virtual media conference for his latest TV project, “La Vida Lena,” opposite Erich Gonzales.
“I felt happy when I found out. Of course, getting recognized in your field for something that you love to do is already a big accomplishment,” he said of his performance in “Belle Douleur,” a May-December love story that he topbilled with Mylene Dizon. “But winning an award is different compared to, say, becoming popular or a trending topic on social media. The feeling is also different. I can’t explain it—it’s rewarding.” INQ
