Maine Mendoza has received her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Mandaluyong City and encouraged her fans to also get their shots.

“Got my first dose! Thank you, MandaVax! Do your part and get vaccinated, friends!” the actress-TV host said on her Instagram page today, June 21.

Mendoza also showed photos of her getting the shot, where she appeared to be nervous as her eyes were closed and she held a companion’s hand. She can also be seen showing off her bandage and holding a sign with Mandaluyong City’s logo and the words, “I got my COVID-19 vaccine.”

The “Eat Bulaga” host received her COVID-19 jab with her brothers and sisters, as shown in a photo on her Instagram Story, also today. Her siblings can be seen holding signs and posters stating “[One] down, [one] to go” and “This shot is for you.”

“[Siblings] are vaccinated too! Yay,” Mendoza said, while not specifying the brand of vaccine which her family received.

Fellow celebrities have also been recently vaccinated against COVID-19, including Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Kris Aquino, Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson, among others.

Actors and other movie industry workers are classified as “economic frontliners” and are included in the A4 category of the country’s vaccination priority list. This group includes public and private sector workers who need to be physically present in their workplaces. JB
