Award-winning actress and comedienne Pokwang, whose real name is Marietta Subong, is now finally a Kapuso artist.

Pokwang expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and shared the news on her own Twitter page. “This is it… thank you po @ArtistCenter, @gmanetwork papa God, at sa inyong lahat (and to you all),” she tweeted.

“[Salamat] po sa pagkakataong muling maihatid at maibahagi ko ang aking talento sa inyong lahat na tunay na nagmamahal at sumosuporta,” Pokwang added.

(Thank you for giving me the opportunity to once again share my talent with all of you who truly love and support me.)

Pokwang signed the contract for her official transfer to the Kapuso channel earlier today. Before the big transfer, Pokwang built her successful career by starring in television shows and movies under ABS-CBN for around 15 years.

She has been confirmed to soon star in several Kapuso shows including its drama anthology “Wish Ko Lang” and the comedy show “Pepito Manaloto,” according to GMA News. /ra
