Megastar Sharon Cuneta has nothing but love for her character Carmela in her latest film, “Revirginized,” where she got to relive her younger years.

The Megastar’s fans had mixed reaction to her bold role, especially when she and director Darryl Yap released stills of Cuneta doing body shots on co-star Marco Gumabao.

Now in her 50s and amid the criticisms, Cuneta said via her Instagram page yesterday, June 17: “In the end, no matter how our movie does or what people say, I will still ALWAYS LOVE CARMELA, my character in ‘Revirginized.'”

“Thank you for her, Direk Daryll. Thank you Marco my Pawi – though short, really sweet – for helping me to relive my 20s in our scenes,” she added.

The post came with a short clip of Cuneta drinking alcohol while partying with younger folks in the said film.

“Thank you, dearest CARMELA – my alter-ego/’Sasha Fierce’ – for taking me on an adventure unlike any I could have ever imagined I would be going on in my 50s!” she said.

Cuneta then noted that she is a “gaddam good ACTOR and darn PROUD OF IT!”

“At sa mga bashers, pag 55 na kayo at malapit lapit ang itchura nyo sa akin ngayon, chaka lang kayo magkaka-K mandiri! Yuck kayo! Hahahahaha!” the Megastar then emphasized.

(And to my bashers, when you become 55 years old and look quite like me, then you will have the right to find this disgusting. Yuck to you all!)

Cuneta is currently in the United States, where she recently got her second dose of the vaccine against COVID-19. She flew to Los Angeles last month to “breathe and collect” herself.  /ra
