NKO

Shake some of the summer’s scorching heat off by listening to NKO’s dreamy single “Langit,” which is as memorable for its defy-the-romantic-odds theme and vibrant dance hooks as for the winking playfulness of its music video, helmed by Ich Santos.

The song, instantly irresistible for its retropop vibe, is produced by the Just Music team of Piolo Pacual, Erickson Raymundo and Jeff Vadillo and distributed by CS Music. OPM lovers who enjoy singing along with the songs on their music players will love NKO’s easygoing, no-sweat approach to singing.

In “Langit,” specifically, NKO manages to incorporate a judiciously rendered lower octave into the main melody or garnishing it with a pleasant falsetto while grooving to the arrangement’s finger-snapping patter.

FEATURED STORIES

As for its lyrical content, the tune tells the story of lovers, played in the video by Vanessa Alvarez and Nikko Virtucio aka NKO, who fight as passionately as they love each other.

For the couple in the song, there’s nothing lovelier or headier than the satisfaction of getting back together after every heated argument.

In any case, if you’re not into all that drama, you can just sit still and savor “Langit’s” catchy musicality and strong melodic recall. INQ
