Sunshine Cruz has once again condemned the malicious comments and social media posts targeting her and her daughters.
Cruz, who had slammed such perverted posts before, reiterated her appeal to netizens via Facebook yesterday, May 11, after a manipulated photo of her family surfaced.
“I will never understand why people think making fun of other people is funny. No one has the right to humiliate others. What would you feel kung isa sa pamilya nyo ang gawing katatawanan?” the actress stressed. (What would you feel if one of your family members was made fun of?)
“It only shows the character na meron ang isang tao. Hindi ako humihingi ng respeto pero itrato nyo lang din akong tao. Pareho nyo nasasaktan din ako. Walang ginagawang masama ang pamilya ko kahit kanino,” Cruz emphasized.
(It only shows the character that a person has. I don’t ask for respect, but treat me as a human being too. I get hurt just like you. My family is not doing anything wrong to anyone.)
In her following post, Cruz shared the said photo of her family, which was edited to have an adult film actor, who has become a meme, join them at the dining table.
Cruz asked netizens to report the said post, which was made by a Facebook page called AYAW KOL.
The porn actor’s face was edited to replace the face of Cruz’s partner, Macky Mathay, who was with Cruz’s family in the original photo.
Cruz has called out such disrespectful posts several times in the past. In July 2020, Cruz slammed even the schoolmates of her daughters who also made lewd remarks about them online.
“Wala kaming sinasaktan at inaapakang tao. Hindi pagkain o bagay ang mga babae (We are not hurting or stepping on anyone. Women are not food or objects),” the mother posted on Twitter back then.
Cruz has three daughters from former husband Cesar Montano: 19-year-old Angelina, 17-year-old Samantha and 16-year-old Francheska. /ra
