Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano start out as sworn enemies before building chemistry in the upcoming series “He’s Into Her.”

Based on the teen romance novel of the same title by Maxine Lat Calibuso (aka Maxinejiji), “He’s Into Her” tells the story of Max Del Valle (Mariano) as she struggles to fit in a new school and get along with the school’s bully Deib Enrile (Pangilinan).

The pair initially find each other annoying and go head-to-head but soon develop feelings for each other, as seen in the official trailer released on iWantTFC’s YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, BGYO’s song “He’s Into Her” accompanies the quarreling and flirting between the two characters throughout the trailer.

“He’s Into Her” also stars Marissa Delgado and Janus Del Prado as Mariano’s on-screen family. An ensemble of young actors — Jeremiah Lisbo, Vivoree Esclito, Rhys Miguel, Kaori Oinuma, Joao Constancia, Criza Taa, Ashley Del Mundo, Gello Marquez, Dalia Varde, Sophie Reyes, Melizza Jimenez and Limer Veloso — are also appearing in the series.

Pangilinan and Mariano recently expressed their gratefulness about their pairing being considered as the “new generation” of love teams. But Mariano admitted that she feels pressure in being lined up next to “big love teams.”

“He’s Into Her” is directed by Chad Vidanes and was adapted for television by Vanessa Valdez. It will start streaming via iWant TFC on May 28 and will be shown on various ABS-CBN channels beginning May 30. JB
