“TV Patrol” anchor Bernadette Sembrano is officially a COVID-19 survivor as of today, May 1.

Sembrano shared the good news earlier today via Instagram along with a medical certificate of her recovery stating that she is “no longer contagious and no longer needs further isolation.”

“Today, May 1 we officially survived Covid. Resting the stool outside my door. Thanks for all the love that you sent over,” she posted.

“Please continue to pray for each and every person afraid, afflicted, by FEAR illness and those in a black hole because of losing of a loved one,” Sembrano added.

“I pray for your, our healing – our body – our mind and our soul. Please pray For my family and I am praying hard with you too,” she also asked the public.

The Kapamilya broadcaster also noted that they will “continue to FIGHT it with love and malasakit (compassion).”

“You don’t know what love can do! Sa mga pamilya (family), friendships and strangers! Mwah!” Sembrano added.

The anchor, who suffered from mild COVID-19, first disclosed that she contracted the novel coronavirus via an Instagram video on April 22.

Sembrano and fellow “TV Patrol” anchors Noli de Castro and Henry Omaga-Diaz all underwent self-quarantine in mid-April, according to temporary anchor Julius Babao on April 21.

Sembrano is now also urging the public to “LIVE HEALTHY ! DO all protocols ! NEVER remove Mask indoors, wash hands, social distance, limit time inside indoors, test and ISOLATE to keep each other safe.”

She has also urged citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

“It’s ok to be afraid but remember MERON KAYONG MAGAGAWA to protect yourself and your loved ones. Hindi po kayo nag-iisa,” she stressed.

Sembrano also thanked Dr. Joseph Adiran Buensalido and one Dr. Del Rosario, as well as other health workers and friends for helping her recover.

She also urged netizens to talk to doctors and not to self-medicate or self-diagnose, suggesting that they should contact the Philippine General Hospital’s Telegabay app if they need help.

“Talk to your doctor. I am careful in commenting about the protocols that I did because I STRONGLY encourage you to consult with [your] doctor,” Sembrano said in the following post.

“While I am a Covid survivor – my symptoms – or the absence of it – vary from yours. [Talk] to your doctor. You have to trust them and not anecdotal prevention and remedies of Covid because you can be doing more harm to yourself than good,” the news anchor emphasized.  /ra
