Almost a year after releasing “Bawal Lumabas,” Kim Chiu dropped a new song, “Kimmi,” which also came with a lyric video, yesterday, April 30.
The actress-singer proudly showed off her Bisaya roots through her new feel-good song, which came as she marked her 15th anniversary in show biz.
“Happy to have a twist of BISAYA in this song!! [heart emoji] #proudbisaya #bisrock #KIMMI,” Chiu posted on Instagram yesterday.
“Kimmi” was released under Star Music and was composed by “It’s Showtime” longtime musical arranger, DJ M.O.D. It is now available on streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and Deezer.
Also to mark its release, Chiu held an Instagram Live session at 12 midnight yesterday to listen to the full song for the first time along with fans.
Aside from releasing a new song and celebrating a career milestone, Chiu also turned a year older this month as she celebrated her 32nd birthday on April 19. /ra
