After 22 days of quarantine, actress Sunshine Cruz has finally recovered from COVID-19, sharing that she tested negative yesterday, April 16.
“Tested NEGATIVE [prayer hands emoji] but feeling positive,” the 43-year-old actress said in her Instagram post, where she is seen smiling while holding what appears to be a sunflower.
Cruz’s announcement of her recovery came just two days after she publicly confirmed that she had been infected with the novel coronavirus.

Cruz started self-isolating inside her room in late March after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Her most recent negative result came from a swab test she underwent on April 15.
“To everyone, [COVID-19] is real! In my 43 years of existence, I’ve had fever, the flu, and coughs but [COVID-19] symptoms can’t be compared to what I’ve experienced before,” she noted back then.
Cruz is one of the many celebrities who have battled the disease, including Dennis Padilla, Gab Valenciano, Angelica Jones and Angeline Quinto, among many others. /ra
