“It’s Showtime” host Ryan Bang opened up about his desire to reunite his parents and have a complete family, stressing that he is ready to trade everything for it.
Bang, who is the only child of his parents in South Korea, shared that to see them together again is his sole wish in life, as seen in his YouTube “Mukbang” vlog on April 14.
“Hanggang ngayon, ang pangarap ko talaga mabuo [ang pamilya]. Gagawan ko ng paraan para — gusto ko nakatira sa Pilipinas kasama ang mommy ko at daddy ko,” he said.
(Until now, my dream is to make my family whole again. I will do everything — I would want to live here in the Philippines with my mommy and daddy.)
Bang was opening up to his guest, named only Gladz, who disclosed to Bang that she and her partner have also split up and they have one child together.

Bang advised his guest that it might be better for them to reconcile for the sake of the child. He emphasized, however, that it is just what he can say from his experience as an only child of a broken family.
“Isa lang wish ko sa buhay ko: gusto ko bati na ‘yung magulang ko. Kasi gusto ko isang pamilya eh (I only have one wish in my life: I want my parents to reconcile. Because I want a complete family),” Bang said.
“Wala pa akong na-experience na bakasyon kasama [sila pareho] — hawak ng kamay ng tatay, hawak ng kamay ng nanay. Only isang kamay lang,” he added.
(I have never experienced a vacation with them together, where I hold my father’s hand in one hand and my mother’s in the other. Only one hand.)
Despite growing up with his mother, Bang shared that he still salutes his father for still trying to find ways for them to see each other.
Bang then promised his guest that if she and her ex ever decide to get together again, he will pay for their vacation. He also apologized if he was hurting her with his advice, saying that it was just what he could say from his point of view.
The TV host also disclosed that whenever he goes to Korea, he always asks one favor from his parents, which is for them to eat dinner with him.
“Kaya kong mag-give up lahat ng na-achieve ko, kaya ko mag-give up lahat ng pera ko, kaya ko mag-give up career ko — lahat kaya ko i-give up para magkabalikan ang mommy, daddy at tsaka ako,” Bang shared.
(I can give up all of my achievements, all of my money, my career — everything I can give up just so mommy, daddy and I can be together again.)
“‘Yun, promise, galing sa puso ko ‘yun (I promise, that is from my heart),” he added.
Bang first rose to fame by joining “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash” back in 2010. Since then, he has hosted several TV shows including “3ow Powhz!,” “Banana Sundae” and “It’s Showtime,” which he still currently hosts. /ra
