Following its feature in Marvel’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” Shanti Dope’s hit track “Amatz” made its debut on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
“Amatz” entered the said chart just this week, around two weeks after it was heard in the third episode of the said Disney Plus show that premiered on April 12.
Shanti Dope’s manager, Thea Gomez Pollisco, shared the new international milestone to the young rapper’s fans via Facebook yesterday, April 14.
“Conquering the WORLD!!!! Congrats Shanti Dope maagang pabirthday sayo (birthday nya bukas [April] 15),” Pollisco said, sharing a screenshot of the said Billboard chart.
(Congrats Shanti Dope, this is an early birthday gift to you (it is his birthday tomorrow, April 15.)
Shanti Dope, whose real name is Sean Patrick Ramos, turns 20 years old today.
Pollisco’s husband, Pinoy hip-hop veteran Gloc-9, likewise congratulated Shanti Dope and the team behind the hit track.
Shanti Dope co-wrote “Amatz” with award-winning music producer Klumcee, whose real name is Lester Vaño. It was released under Universal Records Philippines.
“Amatz” made it to the said chart at No. 10, debuting alongside BTS’s “Film Out” at No. 1, Hoshi’s “Spider” at No. 5 and Chanyeol’s “Tomorrow” at No. 9, Billboard announced on Twitter on April 13.

Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales is a weekly chart that ranks the best-selling digital songs around the world.
Prior to entering the international music scene, “Amatz” had been making headlines since its release in 2019 after the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency asked for the song to be banned for allegedly promoting drug use. /ra
