WATCH: Mandy Moore, Taylor Goldsmith’s lullaby for baby August

Since his parents are musicians, it is to be expected that baby August Goldsmith should be treated to the lovely voices of Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith—and he sure does.
Moore shared with fans that she and Taylor help little Gus fall asleep through a sweet lullaby they have written for their only child.
“[Taylor] and I have been singing this song to our little guy since he was a [peanut emoji] in my [womb]. Side note — you have the best dad, Gus,” Moore posted on Instagram on her birthday, April 10.

In Moore’s post, Taylor plays the piano while singing the special lullaby, which is set to the tune of “Desperado” by the Eagles.
“August Goldsmith, I think it’s time you tried sleeping / If there’s something you’re needing, we’ll be in the next room/ And if you’re dreaming, oh dream it, dream of Mommy and Daddy / ‘cause it’s way more than likely we’ll be dreaming of you,” Taylor sang.
Also on Moore’s birthday, Taylor took to his own Instagram account to express his love and appreciation for his partner, whom he refers to as a “Supermom.”
“The nucleus of the family. The one who knows exactly what she wants our future to look like and then makes it a reality. The one who is mothering a [7-week-old], is back working again, and somehow still makes each of her animals feel individually loved and looked after,” Taylor said.

“Love becomes a bigger word every day I’m in your orbit. I love you more than I know how to say. Happy Birthday [Mandy Moore],” he added. Taylor’s post came with a sweet photo of the mother and son lying in bed and looking at each other.
The day before her birthday, Moore also shared an adorable photo of Taylor giving a bath to baby Gus, who seemed to have been having fun.

The couple welcomed baby August last February. The actress first announced that she and Goldsmith were expecting a child back in September 2020. They have been married since November 2018. /ra
