Inquirer stalwart Nestor U. Torre will be feted by friends, proteges and colleagues in “For the Love of the N.U.T.,” a memorial and virtual get-together tonight, hosted by Ali Sotto. The show will pay tribute to his contributions to theater and the arts, journalism and the entertainment industry.

The award-winning writer-actor-director, who edited, among other sections, Saturday Special, and wrote a widely read daily column in the Inquirer’s Entertainment section (Viewfinder) before he suffered a stroke in 2018, died on April 6 at Sta. Ana Hospital exactly one month before his 79th birthday.
