Rachelle Ann Go recalls ‘amazing’ childbirth experience
West End star Rachelle Ann Go, who became a mother just late last month, opened up to fans about her “amazing birthing experience.”
“[Two] weeks ago around this time, our Lukas arrived! My midwife said she’ll give me an hour to push. If not, the doctors will have to examine me again and might do emergency CS. I said ‘NO! I will do it in 15-20 mins!'” Go shared on Instagram yesterday, April 9.
“It took me [18 minutes] to push Lukas out! Praise God! Tinodo ko na talaga ang pag-push (I really gave my all in every push),” she added.

Go’s post aptly came with a stylish photo of her lying on a hospital bed while donning sunglasses, quipping, “If the contractions are strong, make it fashion.”

“I cannot believe we did it! We kept praying for a miracle. It was a loooong labor… I was progressing really slowly but I was actually enjoying the contractions! LOL. Weird…But yeah I found myself saying YES to each contraction,” she added.
Go then noted that “the Holy Spirit just filled the room” after giving birth, sharing that they actually began praying and singing worship songs and that their midwife even joined in.
“I had such an amazing birthing experience! I was so scared of giving birth before but after going through it, I realized God made it possible for us to do this! My big take away is FAITH over fear. God will meet us at the level of our faith,” Go emphasized.
“Thank you to all our family and friends who kept praying with us the whole time,” she added.
Go also expressed her gratitude to the UK’s National Health Service, sharing that she also met a few Filipino health workers who took care of her.
“To all the mamas out there who are about to go through this journey, I believe in you! You can do it,” Go stressed. “We cannot wait to share the whole story with you soon!”
Go and Spies, who first met in New York City, tied the knot in a beachside ceremony in Boracay back in April 2018. /ra
