Despite being a celebrity, 23-year-old Michelle Vito shared that she strived to “live the life of a regular student” as she celebrates finally graduating soon.
Vito noted that while she had some delays, she is now at the end of her journey at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, as seen on her Instagram earlier today, March 19.
“I’ve always wanted to go to regular school instead of doing online classes, even though I know that it would have been really hard, especially because I also have work. I wanted to live the life of a regular student,” the actress shared.
“Going to school, 10 mins break and long breaks, kain sa cafeteria and around [Taft Ave.], the feeling of being in a classroom, school activities, and marami pa many more. I’ll never forget my struggles in hard classes, mga puyat (the sleepless nights), and my cramming mode,” Vito added.
As she is still an actress while regularly attending school, Vito shared that some of her most memorable moments “come from the times when I go to school straight from work and vice versa.”
“[Mga] pakiusap sa professors, thesis hanggang madaling araw, at walang katapusang revisions (My pleas to my professors, the all-night thesis and the never-ending revisions). Haha!” she added also to her list of memorable moments in college.
“My college life is not only about graduating, getting my diploma, and having a degree but also about the unforgettable and irreplaceable experiences in between,” Vito stressed.
She then expressed her gratitude to her family, friends and professors, noting that she “wouldn’t have made it this far” without them.
“Lastly, to God, alam kong nandiyan ka the whole time, and thank you for listening to and answering my prayers (Lastly, to God, I know you were there the whole time, and thank you for listening to and answering my prayers),” Vito added.
The actress also thanked her beloved alma mater, which has been her second home for five years. She noted, however, that she would have wanted to say goodbye to the college in person, if not for the pandemic.
“I only hoped that I could’ve ended my college journey at school and with a grand graduation ceremony,” Vito stressed. “Even though I’ve dreamed and waited for that moment for many years, the current situation taught me to be content and grateful for what we have at the moment.”
“Everything happens for a reason, and I know God is teaching us a lesson. All is well with Him,” she added.
Vito graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. She has appeared in several television shows over the years, including “Ang sa Iyo Ay Akin,” “Bagong Umaga” and “Nang Ngumiti ang Langit,” among others. /ra
