Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez had nothing to show but love for each other as they marked their first anniversary as a married couple last Sunday, March 14.
The two celebrated one another through their own ways on the special occasion; Gutierrez penned a heartwarming open letter while Lahbati released a tribute video on their relationship.
“Happy 1st wedding anniversary my love. May our love and trust keep growing in the passing of each year, through the highs and lows,” Gutierrez said on Instagram yesterday, March 15.
The message aptly came with several pictures of them together, including prenup and wedding photos of the longtime couple who got engaged in 2017.
“I know the road ahead will not always be smooth, there will be speed bumps along the way, some inevitable [setbacks], but with [God’s] shining light upon us, I know our love will always be victorious,” Gutierrez stressed.
“So never be afraid my love, for I will always be by your side, holding your hand as we go through our chosen path in life. You are the pillar of my life and [I] wake up every morning trying to become a better man because of you. I love you and I will forever cherish you,” he added.
Lahbati likewise greeted her husband via Instagram, posting a tribute video of them aptly coupled with the tune of Hala’s “What Is Love? Tell Me, Is It Easy?”
“[You] and me, hand in hand. [Through] life’s ups and downs. [Together]. [Today], tomorrow and forever,” the doting wife said on the post.
Gutierrez and Lahbati have been a couple for over eight years now and have two sons, namely Zion and Kai. They had an intimate wedding ceremony last year attended by only a chosen few amid the COVID-19 pandemic. JB
