LOOK: Meryll Soriano finally shows face of baby with Joem Bascon
Actress Meryll Soriano finally gave her fans and followers a look at the face of her child with partner, actor Joem Bascon.
Soriano publicly revealed her baby’s face for the first time through a photo she posted on her Instagram page, March 5. The infant, whose name has not yet been shared to the public, was not looking directly at the camera for the photo, but his face can be seen clearly as he stretched his arms.

Up until the photo was shared, the actress’ earlier posts only showed parts of the infant’s face. In the past few months, Soriano opted to show only glimpses of her baby by cropping his photos, blurring his face or taking it from behind his head.

Soriano surprised everyone early this year when she revealed on New Year’s day that she had rekindled her relationship with Bascon and they had a child together. Her eldest child with ex-husband Bernard Palanca, Elijah Palanca, was also featured in a family photo she showed on the same day.

A week after sharing the news, the actress revealed that carrying her new baby was “risky and difficult,” which caused her anxiety as she approached the last months of her pregnancy.
She experienced gestational diabetes, which meant she had to take glucose tests and insulin shots four times a day. Fortunately, with help from Bascon, regular exercise and a healthy diet, she was able to give birth to the baby boy through a normal delivery, after 10 hours of labor. JB
