The Queen of All Media has finally been reunited with her eldest son, Josh, after around two months as the latter has been living in Tarlac away from his mother and brother.
Just a few days after her birthday, Kris Aquino shared the video of her reunion with Josh at her service apartment in Taguig via Instagram on Feb. 18.
“Our probinsyano is here to visit us, to visit me! Pero may (But, there is a) schedule,” Aquino said as she, Bimby and Josh got in a group hug.
Aquino then shared that Josh, who left on Dec. 26 last year, was just visiting her and would return to Tarlac right after.
Josh shared with his mother some of the things he likes to do back in the province, including riding an e-bike and a golf cart, as well as regularly going jogging.
After being asked by Aquino what her son really loves about Tarlac, Josh again answered jogging and fresh air.
As Aquino recently decided that she and Bimby will be moving to a beach house in the province, she also asked Josh if he would like to stay with them, to which the latter said no.
“Okay, madali akong kausap. Sure? But you like the beach. Ayaw? Stay ka where? O sige, mahirap kalaban pag nag-decide na na ‘dito ‘ko,’ diyan siya,” Aquino said.
(Okay, I understand. Sure? But you like the beach. You do not? Where would you stay? Oh okay, it is hard to change your mind. If he has already decided that “I am staying here,” he will really stay there.)
To give fans the context on why Josh is so sure that he will go back to Tarlac immediately after his visit, Aquino shared that Josh did not bring his favorite bag with him during the said visit, even though he always has that bag with him.
“He has this one bag… everywhere he goes, this bag is with him, okay?” Aquino said. “He has many bags, but that one particular bag is his favorite bag.”
“Hindi niya dinala… Hindi niya dinala that bag today… Where that bag is is where he is, so, the fact na hindi dinala ‘yung bag, sure na hindi siya matutulog dito, babalik siya doon talaga,” the doting mother said.
(He did not bring it… He did not bring that bag today. Where that bag is is where he is, so the fact that he did not bring that bag shows that he does not plan on sleeping here and will return there for sure.)
Aquino also shared that another reason Josh likes staying in Tarlac is because he sleeps in the former room of his grandmother, Corazon “Cory” Aquino.
“The room he stays in used to be my mom’s room and the bed that he’s staying in used to be my mom’s bed. So I think mahirap labanan ang memories ng lola (So I think it is hard fighting the memories of his grandmother),” she stressed.
“Ako, super naiiintindihan ko… Kasi, I was already ‘Kris’ na puwede nang magdikta ng schedule, nag-a-adjust na sa akin, when Bimb was born. But the years that he (Josh) was growing up, I was not yet at the level I was. So, all those – ‘yung mga program, PTC, events sa school – I was taping, I was shooting, it was my mom, lola niya talaga ang pumuno sa lahat ng ‘yun,” Aquino emphasized.
(Me, I really understand. Because I was already the “Kris” that could dictate my schedule and others adjusted to me when Bimb was born. But during the years that Josh was growing up, I was not at the level I was [with Bimby]. So, all those – the programs, PTC, events in school – when I was taping, I was shooting, it was my mom, his grandmother who really showed up for those.)
In an Instagram video earlier this month, Aquino shared that even though she and Bimby will be moving to a beach house in the province, she will still be going to Central Luzon from time to time to check on Josh in Tarlac. /ra
