Janus del Prado marks 21 years with Star Magic, hints at going freelance
As he marks his 21st year of being part of the Star Magic family, Janus del Prado hinted that he will become a freelancer once his contract ends.
Del Prado aptly shared throwback photos as he celebrated the special anniversary, thanking the talent agency for all the opportunities it gave him as an actor.
“Thank you Star Magic ( Talent Center ) for making me a part of your family for more than 2 decades ( 21 years ). From when I was just 15, training to be one of your talents in “Star Circle” Batch 9 (which I am ) to ‘Gmik,’ ‘Qpids,’ etc., to now that I’m 36 years old doing Tito roles,” he posted on Instagram yesterday, Feb. 18.

“Next month, my management contract with you may end but not my support and love for the whole Star Magic Family. I will always and forever be grateful. It has been one hell of a ride. Till we meet again,” Del Prado said.
Accompanying his post were the hashtags “#freelancer” and “#tonewbegginings,” seemingly emphasizing that he won’t renew his contract with Star Magic.
Among Del Prado’s batchmates in “Star Circle” back in 2000 were Angel Locsin, Heart Evangelista and Coco Martin, along with many others.
Over the years, Del Prado has appeared in many teleseryes and movies including “One More Chance,” “A Second Chance,” “Four Sisters and a Wedding” and the 1997 classic “Magic Kingdom.” /ra
