Sue Ramirez has condemned the malicious editing and spreading of her photo with Maris Racal and asked the help of her followers to find those responsible.
To disprove the fake photos, Ramirez reposted her original pictures with Racal wearing swimsuits from a swimming trip back then, which had been edited to appear as if they were nude by an unnamed individual or party.
“Ewan ko ba kung anong dahilan at pinuputakte niyo kami ng ganito. Wag ko lang mahanap ang nagpapakalat ng kung ano-anong kat*rant*duhan na to,” the actress stressed on Instagram earlier today, Jan. 26.
(I do not know why you are bothering us like this. If I could only find whoever is responsible for spreading this b*llsh*t.)
“Ayoko na sanang magsalita pero ginagambala niyo ang katahimikan ng buhay ko. Umayos kayo. AT WAG TANGA PLS. Wag basta bastang naniniwala sa mga nakikita online. HINDI KAYO PINALAKING UTO UTO,” she added.
(I did not want to say anything about this, but you are ruining the peace in my life. Get your acts straight. And please do not be stupid. Do not be so easily fooled by what you see online. You were not raised to be gullible.)
“[Please] lang. Sumosobra na kayo. Sa mga nakakatanggap ng picture, siguro naman may delikadesa at respeto kayo enough to know na dapat hindi na kumalat pa ang PAMBABABOY na ito,” Ramirez emphasized.
(Please. You are crossing the line. To those who received the picture, I hope you have enough decency and respect to know that this kind of degradation should not be spread.)
In the following post, Ramirez shared with fans the said fake photo and again lambasted what she described as a culture of misogyny and perversion that degrades women.
“NAKAKADIRI KA. SA LAHAT NG NAGSHARE NETO AT SA DEMONYO SA LUPA NA GUMAWA AT NAG EDIT NG KABABUYAN NA TO, NAKAKATAWA BA TO PARA SAINYO?!!!!” Ramirez stressed.
(You are disgusting! To all those who shared this and to this demon on earth who edited this maliciousness, is this funny to you?)
“Sa 8.1M followers ko, nakikiusap ako sainyo. Tulungan niyo ako na matapos na ang kulturang ito. Kulturang bumababoy sa mga kababaihan. Kulturang MAPANIRA. Kulturang KASUKLAM-SUKLAM,” she added.
(To my 8.1 million followers, I am begging you. Please help me end this culture. This culture that degrades women. This culture that destroys. This abominable culture.)
Ramirez also noted that this “can happen to anyone,” and then asked those who know who is responsible for the crime to personally message her.
“HINDI NA TAMA ITO. Masyado na kayong nawiwili sa mga panggagago niyo samin. AYOKO NANG MANAHIMIK. ABUSADO KAYO,” she said.
(This is not right. You guys are getting too comfortable with messing with us. I do not want to stay silent anymore. You are way over the line.)
This is not the first time this happened to a celebrity. Last year, an edited topless photo of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray also spread on social media, which forced her to file a complaint against the tabloid Bulgar for the publication of the photo. /ra
