MANILA, Philippines — TV 5 has asked the Court of Appeals to stop the enforcement of a 20-day suspension order by the Movie Television Classification and Review Board against one of its programs.

In a radio interview Friday, lawyers of TV5 said the MTRCB “doesn’t have jurisdiction over ‘T3′” because it has been classified as a “news and public affairs program”.

They said that under the Constitution, the order constitutes a violation of press freedom.
