After a safari trip in Kenya, the official Instagram account of Scarlet Snow Belo announced that she has a baby brother in the form of a rhinoceros.
Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho’s precocious daughter declared on Instagram yesterday, Jan. 3: “Guess what, peoples! We’re adopting a younger brother for me. Do you want to know who he is? He’s a baby rhinoceros!”
She was pictured with a rhino, who was the adopted rhino’s cousin.
Her account quipped that a potential name would be “Plasty the Belo Rhino” — a play on “rhinoplasty” or a nose job.
The family has been vacationing at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy which has an adoption program to support rhino conservation. According to its website, adopting a rhino has an annual fee of $2,500 (P120,000). The fee covers the costs of protecting and caring for the rhinos, which involves vets and rangers.
Scarlet Snow and her parents have been able to spot other wild animals during their trip, including giraffes, lions and elephants.
Belo and Kho introduced Scarlet Snow to the public in 2016, a year after she was born. The celebrity doctors wed in Paris in 2017. JB
