“Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit” star Kyline Alcantara shared her thoughts on juggling school and lock-in taping sessions amid the pandemic at a recent virtual conference.

“It’s hard because you have to make up for a lot of lost ground. When I came back after our taping, it was already our midterm exams. I had to study as hard as I could, and as many lessons as possible,” said Kyline, who’s currently a freshman college student taking up Tourism.

Fortunately, with a bit of consideration from her professors, Kyline finally managed to catch up with the class. “I’m lucky that my teachers were so understanding of my situation regarding the lock-in taping… They gave me special quizzes and exams,” she said.

In an earlier interview, the 18-year-old GMA 7 actress admitted that she was excited and scared about going to college. “It’s my first year and my first time to do online classes. But I’m excited about the challenge,” Kyline related. “I want to have enough knowledge about the Philippines, so I could better promote its beauty… It might sound show biz, but that’s really the reason I took up this course,” she added. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
