K-pop group TWICE greets Filipino fans: ‘Maligayang Pasko!’

MANILA, Philippines — TWICE surprised their Filipino fans on Christmas Day with holiday greetings said in Tagalog in an Instagram video on Friday.

“Hi Bench Fam, we are TWICE. Maligayang Pasko po!” the South Korean girl group said in a video posted by retail giant and Bench founder Ben Chan.

“We’re wishing our Filipino Onces a Merry, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mahal namin kayo,” the girls added. “Onces” is the official term for the group’s fandom.

TWICE is a nine-member girl group in South Korea which debuted in 2015. It consists of Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.

TWICE was recently announced as the new endorser and ambassador of local clothing brand Bench.

Some of the group’s hit songs include “TT”, “Feel Special,” “Fancy,” and “What Is Love?”

TWICE recently released a music video of their newest song “I Can’t Stop Me,” which is included in their second full album titled “Eyes Wide Open.”

Last year, TWICE held a concert and performed for their Filipino fans at the Mall of Asia Arena as part of their TWICE World Tour “TWICELIGHTS”.
