Heart Evangelista bares ‘hardest battle with anxiety’ on her birthday last year

MANILA, Philippines — For Kapuso Actress Heart Evangelista, her lowest point was her hardest battle with anxiety during her birthday in 2019.

In an Instagram story posted on Thursday, a netizen asked the actress for a picture of her “lowest point that no one really knows.”

Evangelista then responded that her battle “felt like angels and demons were fighting over her existence.”

“It was my birthday last year… everything was perfect but my mind was fighting with my soul :(  it felt like angels and demons were fighting over my existence. This was my hardest battle with anxiety and nobody knew,” the actress wrote.

Last September, Evangelista confessed that her past struggles with depression and anxiety made her stronger, especially during the coronavirus disease pandemic.

The GMA 7 actress said she had a bout with depression after miscarrying her twins with husband Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero, in 2018. She also struggled with her anxiety in November 2019 which lasted until February 2020.
