Film showcase reportedly weighed down by power struggle
Trouble is reportedly brewing in paradise. A Little Birdie (LB) told Inquirer Entertainment that a big film showcase is being given the runaround by people of the new boss of a Governing Group (GG) and keeping some of the festival’s erstwhile leaders in the dark by excluding them at meetings.
LB chirped with frustration as LB described how GG is dragging its feet until it “hogs the limelight,” so to speak, and gets its way. Looks like they want the limelight shining on them, instead.
There’s always trouble when power or ambition rears its very, very ugly head. Let’s hope they figure a way out of this impasse and have a Merry Christmas.
What’s wrong with these people? The industry needs all the help it can get, especially in these difficult and troubled times. Tsk tsk.
